![]() ![]() ![]() You may have gathered that I am not the most 'techie' person but I generally can muddle my way through. I believe that Raspbian can run FFMPEG but is that the best operating system for this? ![]() I have a Raspberry Pi 3B that I could use straightaway but if necessary I could get the 3B+ if that would be better. On the host, create a script to initialize the nvidia-uvm devices Most devices can run Plex media server Bandwidth : 1 Gbit with 50-100 TB i tried ubuntu. I recently recorded the BBC Show 'Shetland' which had 6 episodes, all I would have to do is put all 6 episodes into the correct input folder, the Raspberry Pi running FFMPEG would pick them up, re-encode them and transfer them to the output folder. I would like to build a Raspberry PI that effectively only runs FFMPEG and that FFMPEG installation looks at an input folder (preferably on the NAS but on any storage), takes any file that is there and re-encodes it to a small (H.265) file in an output folder. Can I get some advice or guidance on building a Raspberry Pi for media transcoding please? I have a Plex Media Server on a homebuilt Xpenology NAS and as part of that I have a HD Homerun which I use to record TV Shows, unfortunatly it only seems to be able to record in. ![]()
